oh. my. god.
I followed your link and read as much as I could before I began feeling like I needed to go take a shower.

why isn't the title: How Not to Sound Like a Bigot?

“why isn't the title: How Not to Sound Like a Bigot?”

Because all those people are part of the “homosexual agenda” who are trying to destroy civilization with their love. Bigots wouldn’t get it. (at least I think that’s what you meant)

“oh. my. god.

Was it the material, or my irascible recalcitrant curmudgeon style of reporting?

Or both?

Inquiring mind wants to know...

rereading this, I'm not sure I responded to the right post. if I was asleep at the switch, I apologize.

in SOME post, I followed a link and found an article that instructed people on how to respond to questions about why they fight against ssm. that's what I was alluding to.

but, now, I can't find that link.

No, that was this post. I took out my mocking portion with the link because I thought it was unfair to characterize EVERYONE who listens to and adheres to the anti-gay talking points as "monsters," as some of them are just ignorant and uninformed.

The nauseating link taken out was to NOM's "Marriage Talking Points."

oh, thanx for clarifying that.
it's really nice to know I'm not going insane. =)

one more:
imnsho, the ignorant and uninformed often do come across as monsters. again, imo, it's their job to inform themselves--that way they don't come across as monsters.

but, that's just me.

Yeah, sorry about that. Maybe I'll just do a strike through next time.

I don't like deleting stuff because it's a common practice of the anti-gay industry. Makes them look like they're hiding something, which they usually are.

"imnsho"

That's classic. That's exactly how I feel when I see the IMHO acronym used. I am rarely humble when it comes to my opinions.

And as far as "monsters" goes. I agree that the ignorant and uninformed are responsible for being so. But if I'm going to use that word to describe them, I'd rather make sure to explain it like you just did, to hopefully reach a wider audience:

"it's their job to inform themselves--that way they don't come across as monsters."

hee hee!
sometimes, when I'm feeling sarcastic, I'll write, "imho". but that's sarcasm.
