I was reading some news briefs over at Holy Bullies and Headless Monsters. Here’s a couple snippets followed by my always and ever special commentary.

AFA's daily prayer equates homosexuality with incest, bestiality, pedophilia:
We know that much sexual sin has been committed in our community and nation. We repent of all acts of incest, adultery, homosexuality, pedophilia, and bestiality. We acknowledge that such things are detestable to you, and that they are perversions of your intentions for us. We acknowledge that we profane your name and only defile ourselves through our sexual sin.
Randy Thomasson Claims LGBT-Inclusive Schools Make Students 'Enemies of God':
Right Wing Watch: [Randy] Thomasson said that students and families have become the victims of a “perverse, unnatural, unbiblical, unhealthy, tyrannical sexual agenda” advanced by the state government and LGBT rights advocates who seek to eliminate free speech and religious liberties.
~~~ ~~~ ~~~
They don’t even believe in the Bible.
First of all, nowhere in the Bible is homosexuality condemned. All of the so called gay-bashing Bible verses refer to males exclusively, except for Romans:
Romans 1:26 Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.
People who are born gay, like me, never “exchanged” our orientation, so it’s not referring to gay people. But the haters cling to verses like that so they can continue justifying their anti-gay bashing as a “deeply held religious belief.” If you click on that link, though, read a few sentences down and you’ll get an ultra-accurate description of these christian haters. Second, God’s “original design” for family included incest -- as per Adam and Eve’s children being “fruitful and multiplying.”
Third, God explicitly approves of polygamy.
God: I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. … I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight.
Fourth, Jesus clearly defined divorce and remarriage as adultery:
Mark 10:11-12: He answered, “Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her. 12 And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery.”
Of course, that kind of adultery is welcomed with open arms by these faux-faith anti-gay cherry-picking cafeteria-christians. It makes their crocodile cries of “religious persecution” all the more irrational -- you can’t be persecuted for something you don’t believe in in the first place.
Heterosupremacist hypocrites to the core.
Citizenlink interview with Mellissa Fryrear, featuring unrepentant adulterer Joe Dallas.
"Does Focus on the Family Really Hate Gay People?"
That's the title. She apparently -- unless she doesn't own a computer, or read...anything -- continues to tell audiences that she's never met a lesbian that hasn't been sexually molested.
I'd say that's hateful, because it's intentionally deceitful.
But what I want to get to is the bottom of the article with Love Won Out speaker, Joe Dallas:
Joe Dallas, a counselor, author and speaker, sums it up in the closing message of the Love Won Out conference:
"The voice that must go out from the Christian community is one that is absolutely unsparing in truth and will not compromise under the worst conditions, and one that is also equally unsparing in love."
From Love Won Out: Joe Dallas is a pastoral counselor, author and public speaker who directs a Biblical counseling ministry in Tustin, CA. He directs a men's seminar on sexual purity titled "The Game Plan" and speaks regularly at churches, universities and conferences nationally and internationally. He and his wife Renee have two sons and reside in Southern California.
Yet, according to this article, Joe Dallas is divorced and remarried, due to HIS adultery, and by his request. I have read his books, and have never seen justification, or even mention of this fact in them.
-I married Brad's secretary, Carol...
-Carol was gone, and we later divorced...
-Renee and I were married...
Now, one might pass that off as a simple lie of omission. But his latest book is called: “The Gay Gospel? - How Pro-Gay Advocates Misread the Bible.”
So just for the fun of it, let’s see what the Bible says about divorce and remarriage:
Mark 10:11-12 He answered, "Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her. And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery."
Matthew 19:9 I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery."
Matthew 5:32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.
Luke 16:18 "Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Joe Dallas, one of Focus on the Family’s Love Won Out speakers, unrepentant adulterer, condemning gays for the heinous “sin” of pursuing love in their own lives.
Such is the sanctity that Focus on the Family and Love Won Out place on the authority of the Bible.
Hypocrites to the core.
Jesus was pretty clear that divorce and remarriage was tantamount to adultery
From: Queers in the pulpit - oh my!
The larger body of Presbyterian USA is trying to remove language from the Book of Order that currently prevents active homosexuals from becoming ordained. I am all for the removal of the language and here's why: homosexuality is not a moral issue. Evidence supports that sexuality is influenced more by biology than anything else. Biology trumps the Bible, in my opinion. The people who wrote the Christian Bible had no idea of genetics. They didn't even know the earth was round. And if people today still insist on dragging up scripture to support their hate inspired-views, then nobody who is divorced should be ordained, either. Jesus was pretty clear that divorce and remarriage was tantamount to adultery - and the penalty for adultery then was death by stoning. If everyone took THAT seriously then half the Presbyterian church would be stoning the other half to death at any given moment and place.
(You can read the rest of it here, as well as from the link above.)
So, shall we let the stoning begin, or shall we continue this "debate?"
Remember, the Bible even commands it: Leviticus 20:10: "If a man commits adultery with another man's wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death."
gcmwatch: "please provide evidence that Joe Dallas has not repented of having a divorce."
Emproph: Mark 10:9 "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."
If marriage is God made, and divorce is man made, how is it even possible to “repent” of divorce?
Wouldn’t that require repenting of God’s Will itself?
--
But that wasn't even my point - as divorce and the adultery-of-remarriage are two completely separate things.
As such, my issue had nothing to do with Joe Dallas, nor his divorce (due to his adultery). My issue was, and is, with your, GCMW’s, apparent approval of adulterous remarriage - as per the Bible:
Luke 16:18 "Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery…"
Which brings us back to my original question in regard to this thread;
"Why would it bother you that Soulforce spreads false doctrine about Scripture, when you yourselves list divorced and remarried unrepentant adulterer Joe Dallas as a resource?"
EVEN IF he could “repent” of his specifically-adulterous divorce, how do you find it possible for him to repent of his Scripturally-adulterous remarriage?
Perhaps you have an explanation, but my question is then in regard to why you list him as a resource without offering that explanation.
By listing Joe Dallas as a resource, without such a clarification, you come across as endorsing unrepentant adultery -- and thus, supportive of the eternal damnation of those who are divorced and remarried, including that of Joe Dallas.
Point being, if you think of unrepentant adulterers as being scripturally sound, why should anyone take you sincerely when you say that Soulforce “spreads false doctrine about Scripture” ?
Or is salvation secondary?
GCM Watch is missing a comment.
GCM Watch plans to monitor Soulforce Atlanta visit:
Pastor DL Foster, along with supporters of GCM Watch will be at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, this Sunday to observe and report on the actions of Soulforce members who have targeted mega churches in an effort to spread false doctrine about homosexuality and scripture.
Now, in between Joe Brummer's comment, and James' comment, this comment should appear:
How is it possible for you to say that Soulforce spreads false doctrine about Scripture when you yourselves list divorced and remarried unrepentant adulterer Joe Dallas as a resource?
I think it's a fair question.
So GCMW, did I get lost in the spam filter, or was this intentional on your part?
