The anti-regulation of guns rebuttal

“If you are going to out law guns,”

-Guns designed to massacre.

“then why not cars, planes, knives, anything else that has taken a life.”

-Because guns are not only made specifically to kill, but to do so in the easiest most efficient way possible.

“It’s not the item that kills, it’s the idiot using it.”

-Unlike “items,” “idiocy” can’t be regulated, banned, necessarily measured, agreed upon or foretold.

Further, if your argument against gun regulation is that “criminals will find a way to get their hands on them anyway,” you may as well say that if someone want’s to break into your house they’ll find a way, so why even bother lock your doors?

And to take it to it’s extreme, if they’re after your guns they’ll find a them, so why bother hiding or even owning one?

Most of we tree-hugging commie pinko liberals aren’t against guns per se, but we are against idiotic arguments.

“They say that 'Guns don't kill people, people kill people.' Well I think the gun helps. If you just stood there and yelled BANG, I don't think you'd kill too many people.” - Eddie Izzard
