Peace on Earth -- The entirety of the liberal agenda.

Bishop Harry Jackson loves like a rusty gate.
RWW links to an article that addresses the DC's City Counsel's vote to legalize gay marriage.
From that article:
Opponents, however, said the issue is far from settled. Members of a group called Stand4Marriage, led by local pastor Bishop Harry Jackson, have met with members of Congress to urge them to oppose the bill...One of the Biblical passages [1 Corinthians 13:1] Stand4Marriage quotes is thus:
..."If it gets to the vote, we win," he said, referencing the other states where residents overturned same-sex marriage laws.
If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate.
This coming from a man who asserts in his book---The Truth in Black & white---that homosexuality is a choice [p147].
This chosen belief about LGBT persons is a common excuse to justify the non-passage of pro-equality laws.
I vote that his love is of the "rusty gate" kind.

Hate houses Churches in Maine threatened by evil homosexual activists FOR NO REASON AT ALL!
Maine Churches Threatened Over Marriage SupportFirst of all, notice that this Focus on the Family "reporter," spelled Bible---THE Bible---with a small b. Apparently, Focus on the Family's Nima Reza doesn't think God's Word is worth capitalizing.
Opponents of Question 1 call on activists to turn churches in to the IRS in an attempt to revoke tax-exempt status.
Ken Graves, senior pastor at Calvary Chapel in Bangor, said..."We've directly consulted the ethics commission here in the state of Maine with regard to our political involvement."
Graves said they must stand up for biblical values.
As far as "Biblical values" go, we know that by sheer logic, Adam and Eve's children (and possibly them) "committed" incest in order to "be fruitful and multiply."
Also, polygamy is God approved:
2 Samuel 12:8: I gave your master's house to you, and your master's wives into your arms. I gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. And, remarriage is defined as adultery by none other than Jesus Christ Himself:
Luke 16:18: Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. So much for "Biblical values," or should I say "biblical values"
Pastor Ken Graves states that they've reported their political involvement to the "ethics commission here in the state of Maine...". Implying, of course, that his motives were "ethical."
From the "Myths and Facts about the People’s Veto of homosexual marriage Legislation (LD 1020)" page:
does not discriminate against gaysAccording to that page, they needed to pass this pro-hatred legislation in order to protect their thoughts on the matter.

marriage is only between a man and a woman.
What does a Yes Vote Mean?As is usual for these morally bankrupt "family" groups, it's a literal feast of distortion, deception and lies.
It maintains the rights and benefits of Maine same-sex couples who are covered by our domestic partners law. A YES vote does not take anything away from homosexual couples, but protects traditional marriage.
What does a NO Vote Mean?
Maine law will no longer promote monogamous marriages and the interests of children. Marriage’s powerful influence on the betterment of society will be lost.
No longer will the interests of children and families even be a consideration.
would destroy marriage as we know it and cause profound harm to society
Question 1 doesn’t take away any rights or benefits from gay or lesbian partners who are covered by Maine’s domestic partners law.
parents will lose control over what their kids learn in school about marriage and sexual orientation
parents who do not want their children exposed to this homosexual marriage instruction have been denied an opportunity to opt their children out.
From their "Fact Sheet" page:
Voting Yes on Question 1, A People’s Veto does three simple things.Fraud: deceit, trickery, sharp practice, or breach of confidence, perpetrated for profit or to gain some unfair or dishonest advantage.
•It restores the definition of marriage to what Maine law has always been and what human history has always understood marriage to be. [protect fragile thoughts about marriage]
•It strengthens democracy and places the power to alter or overturn laws where it always should be- with the people. [tyranny of the majority]
•It protects our children from being taught in public schools that “same-sex marriage” is the same as traditional marriage. [protects children from thinking that gays are equal to straights]
Pastor Graves, where in the Bible does it say that God approves of fraud?

GLSEN’s “Ally Week” makes lobbyists of gay allies
10-20-09Is everyone terrified yet?
'Ally Week' Pushes Gay Agenda
GLSEN's week long effort uses the anti-bullying message as a springboard to indoctrinate students with the homosexual agenda.
--
Cushman said events like Ally Week play directly into the activist's plans.
"GLSEN is using this so-called anti-bullying event to transform students into lobbyists for its adult agenda," she said, "for things like pro-gay legislation currently proposed in the U.S. House."
Here’s how GLSEN’s “Ally week” bills itself:
I believe all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression,deserve to feel safe and supported. That means I pledge to:The nerve of those insidious gays and their agenda “to transform students into lobbyists” for the protection of their fellow students!
-Not use anti-LGBT language and slurs;
-Intervene, if I safely can, in situations where other students are being harassed;
-Support efforts to end bullying and harassment.
---
The news here is that they’re not promoting Exodus International’s “Allies Too” week:
Wait a minute, aren't you the ones who hate gays?In other words, “We don't hate gay liars.”
If that's what you think, it's about time you stop believing the lie that people with different beliefs about sexuality hate those who embrace homosexuality.
I especially enjoy #4 and #6 from their “Core Principles” page:
4. We believe that a homosexual, bisexual or transgender identity and/or behavior are outside of the intentional design of human relationships and sexuality, and therefore aren’t what’s best for us, regardless of whether we are drawn to them. You are free to “reject.” You are also free to be labeled hateful, bigoted, and homophobic.
6. We reject the notion that these beliefs somehow amount to hatred, bigotry, or a “phobia.”
[Candi] Cushman said events like Ally Week play directly into the activist's plans.Again, Candi, why not counter these "gay activist" indoctrination techniques with Exodus International’s already tried and true “Allies, Too” week?

P.S. Focus on the Family also reminds us to hate Kevin Jennings.

Matthew Shepard: December 1, 1976 -- October 12, 1998
In Memorariam: Matthew Shepard (December 1, 1976 – October 12, 1998)
Linked to is an AP article on the event, and this YouTube video below:
The poster of that video, Michelle5451, writes:
This is for all you hate filled people who feel the need to spew your venom at people who live their lives different than your own. There is no bigger indication of self-hatred and deeply rooted fear than when a person throws hate and anger upon the world.
As if the story of Matthew Shepard isn't terrible enough - picture this, sit with it for awhile and bring it to mind the next time you want to attack a "fag," "dyke" or "homo" - when Matt was found 18 hours after his beating, his head and face were caked with dried blood, and in the blood on his face was a trail leading down his cheeks from his eyes. This tells us Matt had been awake at some point after his beating and before he fell into a coma, he knew what had been done to him, he was in pain, he was scared and perhaps, he knew he was going to die - and so, he cried. Tied to a fence, unable to move, brain damaged and dying - this man cried. Does that break your heart? It should...if you have one. If the story of Matt Shepard doesn't shock and disgust you far greater than the idea of two people of the same gender loving each other, you're the one not right with God.
Song written and performed by Melissa Etheridge. She wrote the song in memory of Matt Shepard.
And who can forget congresswoman, Virginia Foxx's, unconscionably callous remarks (note, Judy Shepard was on the House floor at the time):
Here’s what Exodus International has to say on the matter of hate crimes:
Thought Crimes Laws*
Exodus International believes that every human being is of equal value and worthy of the same treatment under the law. While Exodus International strongly opposes violent crimes and acts of aggression against any individual or group of individuals, thought crimes laws offer more legal protection to certain citizens based on their sexual preference alone. In addition, these laws pave the way to prosecute biblical beliefs about homosexuality, instead of prosecuting illegal actions that harm others.
* often called "hate crimes" laws by proponents
They want their religious hatred---and the consequences of it---protected at the expense of the safety of their LGBT brothers and sisters.
Excuse me while I vomit.

Exodus/Focus favor the bullying and harassment of gay youth
Activists Push for Expanded Anti-Bullying Bill in New YorkFrom the NYC Dept. of Education:
The New York City Department of Education is expanding its "Respect for All" anti-bullying program.
The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network and the New York Civil Liberties Union are lobbying school officials to include a homosexual agenda in the program, according to family experts.
Randy Thomas, vice president of Exodus International, said that parents need to be aware that similar organizations may be trying to promote homosexuality in their schools.
"What gay activists are trying to do is take a legitimate problem, which bullying is, and turn it into an opportunity to spread gay ideology," Thomas said.
Second Phase of ‘Respect for All’ Initiative Expands Trainings for School Staff, Creates New Accountability StandardsHypocrisy aside, to use Mr. Thomas’ words:
Last year, the Department of Education added mandated reporting and investigation guidelines to its anti-bias “Respect for All” initiative, making New York City a national leader in efforts to combat bullying and harassment based on ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, and other factors.
"What anti-gay hate activists are trying to do is take a legitimate problem, which bullying is, and turn it into an opportunity to spread anti-gay hate ideology."

$ Loving Gays $ - Exodus style
During a press conference Wednesday in Wheaton, Ill., Exodus International announced a merger with Transforming Congregations, an ex-gay ministry affiliated with the United Methodist Church, and OneByOne, a similar outreach affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA).
I don't know how important this is, but I enjoyed what Randy Thomas had to say about it.
the ministry also hopes to reduce the culture-war dichotomy that casts Christians as either condemning homosexuals or uncritically embracing the gay lifestyle.Dichotomy: contrast, opposition, irreconcilable difference, gulf, contradiction, separation, clash
It's a sad sad day when we sinners judge those Christians who make their living by conflating human sexuality with sexual perversion.

BTW, "gay lifestyle" is code speak for hundreds of sexual partners.

Another “Christian” endorsing mass murder.
From BabbaZee, who puts the Leviticus 20:13 death threat as a permanent feature on their homepage:
BEHOLD as I break the law in Colorado:Which links to a post entitled: “Leviticus 20:13 Now a Mind Crime in Colorado”
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
~ Leviticus 20:13
After 400 years of religious freedom for those who wanted to own and distribute Bibles on their own property in America, the Governor of Colorado has put an end to it. SB08-200, signed into law last week will prohibit the issuing, circulating, and distributing of Leviticus 20:13...That link leads to the bill summary, and as usual, has nothing to do with the reading of minds or the distribution of Bibles, or Biblical hate speech. It has to do with prohibitions against discrimination:
The committee returned to order. Representative Judd presented Senate Bill 08-200 concerning the expansions of prohibitions against discrimination. The bill adds the prohibition of discrimination based on sexual orientation to nondiscrimination statutes for 23 areas, including housing, employment not covered by House Bill 07-025, education, public accommodations and health care. It also allows for the appointment of people who have been, or might be discriminated against because of sexual orientation, to the Civil Rights Commission. Prohibitions against discrimination on the basis of sex, marital status, disability, age, national origin, ancestry, and religion, are added as necessary for consistency in all nondiscrimination statutes including consumer credit transactions, jury service, issuance of a license to practice law, and public accommodations. Violations of anti-discrimination laws are misdemeanors subject to fines up to $5,000, two years imprisonment in a county jail, or both.As you may have noticed, BabbaZee’s a bit dull. So BabbaZee's description of this image should come as no surprise:
First of all, that’s a picture of THE CONSTITUTION!
"THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE
WITH "BIBLICAL HATE SPEECH" REDACTED."
Secondly, I find the open admission defending “Biblical Hate Speech” refreshing, yet simultaneously revolting.
Also, did I mention...

Maggie Gallagher’s anti-gay marriage “Talking Points”
They start with the assertion that:
Extensive and repeated polling agrees that the single most effective message is:Obfuscating the true message of intolerance by tempering it with a disingenuous message of tolerance. Doublespeak at its best: We have the right to live as we please, but only to the extent that we live our lives as they please. Justified by implying that our right to marry would infringe on their thoughts about marriage.
"Gays and Lesbians have a right to live as they choose,
they don’t have the right to redefine marriage for all of us."
Their use of the word ‘marriage’ is a euphemism for love. It’s another purposeful obfuscation to avoid saying that our love is fake - which would make them look hateful.
They then advise wanna-be bigots to NEVER say you’re against same-sex marriage, and to only say that you’re against the “redefinition” of it.
Apparently saying you’re against SSM causes them a 10% drop in polls.
---
They then play the race card (in the effort to counter claims of racism?) by claiming that 60% of African Americans are against gay marriage. Which is really not a credit, it’s an insult. In other words, 60% of African Americans were duped into believing the lies they were told by people like Maggie Gallagher and organizations like her's.
---
They advocate for a Federal Marriage Amendment. This is something that I don’t think enough people understand the full motive behind. It’s an attempt to wrest the power and check of the Supreme Court (if not all courts), from any constitutional interpretation on the matter, other than to rule that marriage can only be between one man and one woman. It would instantly nullify all same-sex marriages in the union.
(No more "activist judges," at least when it comes to we godless sodomites.)
One of the reasons the courts exist is specifically to protect minorities from tyranny of the majority. Anti-gays understand this, thus the need to go over the courts' heads via anti-gay Constitutional Amendment.
---
About benefits: “If medical proxies aren’t working, let’s fix that problem. If people need health care, let’s get them health care. Don’t mess with marriage.”
Again, baloney. The anti-gays are itching to shut down any expression of LGBT’s. That includes websites, books, parades, bars, protests, LGBT groups of any kind, even just coming out of the closet. Furthermore, their vocal objections to the striking down of Lawrence v Texas (decriminalizing consensual gay sex) indicates that they heartily endorse our imprisonment.
And if they accomplish that, capital punishment is next. After all, God sanctions it in the Bible, and even says it would be our own fault:
Leviticus 20:13: If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. They then have the audacity to claim that the high (nearly 50%) divorce rate is the “reason we should be strengthening marriage.”
An especially egregious claim, as the bulk of this page’s reasoning is of the “won’t somebody please think about the children” mantra.
The phrases, Mother and Father, man and woman, husband and wife, or some variation thereof, are used no less than 16 times - usually in the context of "what's best for children."
Absence of a male or female parent, via divorce, resulting in single parenting = A-OK.
Yet they present the insanely hypocritical argument that two parents of the same gender should be prevented from raising children because it’s not the IDEAL.
Clearly, this is not about the children. It’s about personal selfishness at the expense of children.

The Phelps family visits Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda Maryland
A group of seven congregants from Topeka, Kan., set up outside Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda yesterday to protest the sexual orientation of the poet for whom the school was named.JimK at Teach the Facts, takes down the whole gay = hyper-sexual “lifestyle” thing, in an article titled Lifestyle -- Huh?:
At the 2:10 p.m. dismissal, 500 students issued forth from the campus and lined up, several students deep, along the police tape, across Whittier Boulevard from the congregants. They alternately chanted the school name and "Go home!" -- drowning out voices from across the street.
Susan Russell, 17, a junior, said she hoped the publicity would "highlight how ridiculous they are. I mean, that sign -- 'You will eat your babies' -- that doesn't even mean anything."
Sexual orientation isn't a lifestyle, it's just a way people feel. Do you think The Post would mention a straight person's heterosexual lifestyle? No, it doesn't make any sense. There are all kinds of straight people, too, in fact if you're straight then the concept is obvious to you. The only reason you would think gay people have a certain lifestyle is if you don't know any of them, if you think of them as "others" who are different from you.I took out the video, the embed was making these annoying clicks. You can still access the video at the link to the news story above.
It really is time for somebody at The Post to have a talk with the headline writer who composed this gibberish and the editors who let it pass through the process.

Rick Scarborough on homosexuality: “The look on their faces testifies against them”
From his book: Enough is Enough
A Practical Guide to Political Action
© 2008
Isaiah makes an interesting observation about homosexuality: “The look on their faces testifies against them” (Isa. 3:9). Have you ever noticed most homosexuals have a certain look that is reflected in their eyes? The King James Version describes it as the “shew of their countenance.” There are a number of theories as to why that is so, but the fact is undeniable. As a rule, homosexuals cannot totally disguise themselves because it is reflected in their eyes. Jesus said:A few things.
The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.
This helps explain a number of things regarding homosexuals. Though they love to be portrayed as gentle, caring, and sensitive human beings, do not be deceived. Many homosexuals can become very violent and appear to have no hesitancy to inflict property damage or even bodily harm to anyone who would dare to disagree with them. Scenes of the 1992 Republican National Convention in Houston quickly come to mind. Police officers in every major city in America can testify to the level of violence homosexuals can an will inflict.
1) If you click on the link for Matthew 6:22-24, you’ll find that a small, but important portion of that quote has been left out:
22"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. 23But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! Now, why on Earth any Christian would want to hide the fact that they worship the money they make by spreading unwarranted hatred for gays, through lies, and in God’s name, is simply beyond me.
24"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.
2) He gave no footnote, or any other identifying criteria in regard to the alleged 1992 RNC incident.
3) To think that one non-contextual incident 16 years ago is ample evidence that same-gender attraction -- in and of itself -- causes violent behavior, says WAY more about you, Rick Scarborough, than it does about homosexuals like me.
And as far as that noticeable evil-eye trait that all we gays supposedly share, I’m sure that advice will come in quite handy for unscrupulous anti-gay bigots like you.
From now on when they see wolves in ocular clothing such as this…
You’re quite the cultural lifesaver.

Hey, you're not allowed to be gay and save people, leave that atheist family alone!
I presented an idea, based on an observation, and within hours it became a reality, via...
Now, there's already a story going on about how "ex-gay" Greg Quinlan's Greg Quinlan's pants are on fire, and you can read all about it here, here, and even pro-ex-gay-here. Not to mention Google.
So, now that you're caught up on...oh wait, that's right, re EGW, he also "now works with the New Jersey Family Policy Counsel in an unknown capacity."
So NOW that you're caught up on the shenanigans of a one Mr. "ex-gay" Greg Quinlan, FINALLY we can get to the story. (though technically at this point I'm pretty much ready for bed)
ANYWAY...From the American Family Association's One News Now video outlet, Mr Quinlan had this to say about Christian Celebrity Ray Boltz' 'coming out' in the Washington Blade article
(It would appear that Mr. Quinlan had not even read the article before agreeing to the interview):
Jim Brown: Now Ray Boltz, he divorced in 2005, but he was married for 33 years, has 4 kids…tell us how devastating this is to his family, you know what happens in a situation like this. Here's "the thing," not only was his FAMILY there in the audience to SUPPORT HIM, the first 8 songs of his concert set were clearly pro-gay-supportive.
Greg Quinlan: Well you start to wonder what predicated the divorce, if it wasn't this, or if he’s decided to go this route because of the divorce, I don’t know. Divorce is a horrible, horrible, horrible thing. But yeah, it’s going to have a tremendous impact on his children, and I would hope that he thought this out. I don’t know, and haven’t heard, and of course I shouldn’t have heard, whether he’s sought any help--about any same sex attraction or any feelings that he had. But there is help for him, there’s hope for him. And I would just hope that if he hears this, that he would start to seek that hope.
I mean, he can even contact me through you folks, and we can set something up. I mean, there’s no reason for him to be--in--to be stuck where he is, to be where he’s at.~~~~
Ray Boltz: And I'm going to do a song right now that I wrote a long time ago. And I want to sing it and dedicate it to you guys, to Pastor Jeff...to my family...that I don't know where they are...they're they are...
Point being, he's put quite a bit of "thought" into the decision to be honest with himself, his family, and now the world. And to trivialize that, is an insult of the highest order.
If that is acceptable to you, then so be it. But know that his wife and his kids still love and support him.
Or would you say that he, or at least his family, have now become some unwitting participants in a so-called "homosexual agenda?"
This was the song he sang at the end of the above video clip. It's not from the same concert, but it's the same song. It's repeated a few posts down and it's primarily how I know him, and why I'm spending so much time on this subject.
Not just the song, but the whole of what this means. There are a lot of anti-gay "Christians" who are doing a lot of self examination right now, specifically, and just because of this. And that's why I think this event is so important.
